New York Red Bulls won their second preseason game against MLS opponents New England Revolution, 3-0 on Wednesday afternoon. The closed door session saw goals from Emil Forsberg, Elias Manuel and Mohammed Sofo to easily take the contest. It is the team's second win and second clean sheet as they prepare for the regular season.
"I'm very satisfied with our performance," said head coach Sandro Schwarz. "We played very well, in our structure and defensive behaviors. We were a team. As a team, we were very good today, in our communication, in our principles. We are satisfied on the day."
Forsberg's first goal with the club comes from the penalty spot in the first half. youngster Julian Hall was also effective, providing an assist on the Manoel goal.
The team will be back in action on Saturday against the Chicago Fire. Their work down in Florida will continue until the team travels to California for the Coachella Valley Invitational in the middle of February.
