Red Bulls Announce New Training Complex

HARRISON, NJ - In a move that was designed to reinforce the club's commitment to the Metro New York Area, The New York Red Bulls announced that they will be constructing a brand new, privately funded, state of the art Traning Complex in Morris Township, NJ. The facility will accommodate a wide range of professional, academy, and youth training programs.

The Complex will be located on the former Honeywell site off of Columbia Road, within one mile of the Route 24 interchange with County Road 510. The 80-acres of land being developed will feature eight full-size outdoor soccer pitches and house the team’s front office staff.

Along with the First Team and Red Bulls II, the Complex will also be home to the New York Red Bulls Academy and Youth Training programs, North America’s leading youth soccer development system.

“We are fortunate to have the support and commitment from Red Bull to help realize our vision of developing a world-class Training Complex for our organization,” said Marc de Grandpré, General Manager, New York Red Bulls. “This will further our pledge to develop, engage and inspire the local community through the beautiful game.”

“The development of the Training Complex demonstrates our unwavering commitment to the game of soccer in this country,” said Kevin Thelwell, Head of Sport, New York Red Bulls. “The facilities and accommodations will provide our First Team, as well as our valued young players, with the highest levels of support necessary to succeed with our club."

“We are excited that the New York Red Bulls are planning to make Morris Township their future home and looking forward to beginning the approval process with them,” said Mayor Jeffrey Grayzel. “The Red Bulls organization has done a tremendous job contributing to and supporting their local community and creating lifelong fans. Upon securing necessary approvals, the Complex would start construction in 2022 and is expected to be completed in 2024. Hanover Township has been home to the club's Training Facility for over the last eight years and will proudly remain so until the completion of the upcoming Complex.

Rumor: Dru Yearwood to be Traded to Nashville SC

What Red Bull will receive for such a trade remains to be seen. However expectations are that the move will be finalized by the end of next week. Yearwood joined New York in 2020 from Brentford in England. Along the way he has made 86 appearances for the club, including 55 starts. Ex-Red Bulls Coach Gerhard Struber Shares Thoughts on MLS and Salzburg

Struber was with New York from the end of the 2020 campaign through to the early part of 2023.
