Red Bull Salzburg winger Masaya Okugawa will remain with Arminia Bielefeld permanently in the Bundesliga moving forward according to the team. The Japanese international player spent half a season with the German club but now will remain with the club in Germany's top flight.
"We are pleased about the good performances Masaya had last season and about the fact that this has helped him to get his move to the German Bundesliga," said Sporting Director Christoph Freund. "All the very best to Masaya."
Okugawa played in 47 games for Salzburg, scoring 14 goals and 10 assists over that stretch. The player joined the Austrian club in 2015, spending time with the reserve team FC Liefering for 64 games, scoring eight goals in that time. He also spent time on loan with SV Mattersburg and Halstein Kiel with success in both places as well.
