RB Leipzig have announced their schedule for summer friendlies earlier in the week, including a game against Dutch competition. All of this before the team begins play in the both the DFB Pokal and Bundesliga in early to mid-August.
Leipzig will have a large number of players participating in the European Championship this summer with particular players like Dani Olmo, Emil Forsberg and Christopher Nkunku expected to feature for their teams.
Upon returning to Leipzig the players will be met by their new manager, American Jesse Marsch who has experience with two other Red Bull teams, including New York Red Bulls and Red Bull Salzburg. In two seasons at the helm of the Austrian side, Marsch won the domestic double twice and hopes to bring that success to the German team that has yet to win a major trophy.
The only game currently scheduled for their friendlies schedule is a meeting with AZ Alkmaar on July 17th. More games will be announced but at the moment, no news on who the opponents will be.
